Cookie Policy

This page lists every cookie Openpulse sets, what each one is for, and how long it lasts. It is short because the list is short.

There is no advertising network here, no session recording, and no link to Google Ads. Nothing here builds a profile of you across other websites.

2. The cookies we set

Names in the first column are what you will see in your browser's storage inspector, so you can check this page against the thing it describes.

The consent cookie is itself essential: the only way to remember that you refused something is to store the refusal. The two Google Analytics cookies are first-party — they are set on this domain, sent only to us and to Google, and are not readable by any other site. Neither is written until you accept Analytics; refuse, and Google's script still loads but is told to store nothing.

3. Things that are not cookies

Your browser also holds a few preferences in local storage, which is not a cookie and is never sent to us. They exist so the product looks the way you left it. Clearing your browser data removes them.

4. Performance: error reporting

If you allow it, we run Sentry, which reports errors and slow requests from your browser to us. It sets no cookies. What it sends is the error, the page it happened on, and what kind of browser you were using.

It is off until you say otherwise, and turning it off later stops it on the next page you load. We deliberately do not send it your name, your email, or the contents of any request: that is configured in the code, not promised here.

5. Google Analytics, and why it is not optional

We use Google Analytics to count visits: which pages people arrive on, which links they follow, and whether the free report and the contact form actually work. It runs on every page, including the signed-in dashboard, and it is not behind the switch below. We would rather say that plainly than offer a control that does nothing.

What it is not told: the addresses of pages about your own data. A listener or an account page has an identifier in its URL, and those are replaced with a placeholder before anything is sent, along with the one-time links in free report and claim emails. It is never sent your name, your email, or anything a listener has collected.

There is no Google Ads link on this property and no advertising audiences are built from it. If that ever changes, this page changes with it.

6. Changing your mind

Open "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page. The panel shows what is currently on, and a change applies immediately.

We ask again after 12 months. Refusing everything optional is one button and is exactly as easy as accepting: there is no second screen, and the banner does not come back for the same question.

If you clear your cookies, you clear the record of your answer along with them, and you will be asked once more.
